In accordance with the relevant arrangement, starting from 27 June, 2022, the Embassy of China in Grenada will make adjustments on visa application requirements for business, work and family visits to China. The updated application procedures and material requirements are as follows:
I. Application Procedure
i. Fill in the visa application form online (https://cova.mfa.gov.cn). Print out the confirmation page and form, and sign the confirmation page and item 9 of the form.
ii. Make an appointment via email
Send an email to consulate_grd@mfa.gov.cn to make an appointment. The email subject should be "Visa Type+Applicant's Name +Passport Number". In the email, please elaborate the purpose and estimated date of your visit to China and attach the documents required for visa application in PDF or JPG format (Please check Article II for details).
After confirming the documents needed, the Embassy will notify the specific processing date by email or by phone.
iii. Submit all the required documents in person to the Embassy at the appointment time and retain ten fingerprints.
*The following applicants can be exempt from fingerprints collection.
a. Applicants under the age of 14 or over 70;
b. Diplomatic passport holders, or applicants eligible for diplomatic, official and courtesy visas;
c. Applicants who already had their fingerprints collected within the past five years at the Chinese Embassy in Grenada with the same passport;
d. Applicants with all fingers mutilated or uncollectible.
II. Visa categories accepted and documents required
i. Visa Application Form and the confirmation page.
ii. Original passport and a copy of bio data page.
iii. One recent color photo (within 6 months), front view, white background, in 48mm x 33mm size.
iv. Certificate of COVID-19 vaccination.
v. Original Chinese passport or original Chinese visa (for those who had Chinese nationality and later joined a foreign nationality).

*If an adult child and his/her spouse apply for a Family Visit (S2) visa, in addition to the above documents, they must submit the appropriate statement of circumstances as required by the consular officials. |

III. Notes
i. Visa applications related to travel or medical treatmentare still suspended currently.
ii. Foreigners who are subject to the Agreements on Mutual Visa Exemption, or hold valid Chinese permanent residence permits, valid residence permits for work, personal affairs, journalist and reunion do not need to apply for visa.
iii. Those who have been issued a visa to China and who do not need a visa are still required to apply for the Health Code following the requirements of the Embassy before going to China.
iv. Please be kindly noted that for applications that go beyond the current visa processing scope, the relevant emails will not be replied.
