Chinese Ambassador Zhao Yongchen Met with Prime Minister of Grenada Dr. the Right Hon. Keith Mitchell

On July 21th, 2017, at the invitation of Chinese Ambassador to Grenada H.E. Dr. Zhao Yongchen, Prime Minister of Grenada, Dr. the Right Hon. Keith Mitchell, visited the Ambassador's residence. They exchanged views on issues of common concern.

Ambassador Zhao highly appreciated Prime Minister Mitchell’s strategic decision he made to resume diplomatic ties with China in 2005. He said the Prime Minister has attached great importance to developing relations with China and sees China as an important partner. Grenada has long supported the exchanges and cooperation in various fields between the two sides. China highly appreciates this and hopes that the two sides will continue to make joint efforts to promote the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries.

Prime Minister Mitchell said that Grenada has established an important partnership with China, and thanked China for its long-standing support and assistance to economic and social development in Grenada. He said that rapid development of China's economy is remarkable, which provides a powerful driving force to the cooperation in various fields. Grenada hopes to benefit more from the bilateral relations between the two countries. Grenada will continue to firmly adhere to the One-China policy and will actively and continuous promote the development of friendly and cooperative relations between Grenada and China.
